Been investigating late 80's style work and responding by creating some of my own style neon 80's retro designs. Using photoshop I create various gradient filters to give me the style I looking for being a blend of light bright white and light neon blue, also adding bright purple. Mixing these colours in a gradient and adding them to sensible text font with a glow gives me amazing 80's retro effects to my work.

Using layers is the foundation of any pice of work I do. Adding filters and small brush textures to my work helps give it that warn effect. I also go in to the pre-set filters on photoshop and go to add noise for a small filter which put small particles on the image to give it more of a worn look to my work.

Adding also a filter which adds tv lines to my designs, giving it that more retro effect to my work

I followed for help using this video done by Tutvid, I find his videos very helpful, very clear at explaining techniques of how to construct your own retro 80's poster-signs.

Also using a tortorial of how to customise your own type and give it a gradient filter to give it that retro effect. Very helpful in explaining layers and small detail can make your work more professional.
